Okay, so maybe our hours aren't exactly 9am-5pm, but we are employed--both of us!

On Saturday Grant and I went to Lone Tree, CO, to meet Andy of Integrity Installations at Starbucks for an interview. As I sat in a corner reading some books and making overdue phone calls to friends back in Arkansas, Grant was getting to know Andy and his business.

After an hour or so Grant pulled me back over to say goodbye to Andy, and we headed out the door. Of course the first question out of my mouth was, "So, so? Did you get the job?!?!" I was expecting him to say that it went well and that we would hear more from Andy later. But with a huge grin on his face Grant turned to me and said, "I got the job!"

This was the best news! Not only did Grant get hired, but he will be working for a company and with a small group of men that he believes in and that he is excited to be a part of. Andy and his team of four other men (now 5 ;-)), install custom cabinetry for large corporations in Denver and in the greater mountain regions. They do work for everyone from Starbucks to Microsoft. And Andy's words were "Our job is to make sure that the people who hire us are more successful and satisfied when our work is done."

The group works hard, plays hard (they go fishing when they go on jobs outside the city), and looks out for one another. Oh, and did I mention they're all believers? They all look out for each other and make sure that they all live lives of integrity at every moment: in their job, on their breaks, and at home. On top of that, Andy's goal is to see his guys do well and be taken care of in life.

You can only imagine how thrilled we are for Grant to have this opportunity. He will be working full time and taking on the role of provider for our family. This isn't just a job to get by; it's something Grant has the chance to thrive in long term. With his renovation background/skills, his warm personality and charm, and his hard work ethic, I can only dream of how fulfilling this job will be.

So we thank each and every one of you for the prayers and the support. God has been so generous, and we give him every bit of the glory! He alone could have put such a thing together.

P.S.
I'm loving both of my jobs!
